Chenab Valley Power Projects is planning to set up Kwar hydel power project (540 MW (4 x 135 MW )) in Kishtawar district of Jammu & Kashmir. The project involves setting up of 109 mtr high Dam (above deepest foundation ) and an underground Power House with 4 units of 135 MW each. The power house will be constructed underground in Padyarna village and it will be a run-off-the river project.
The company is also planning to set up a Kiru hydel power project (624 MW (4 x 156 MW )) in Kishtawar district of Jammu & Kashmir. The project involves setting up of a 135 mtr Dam (High above deepest foundation level) and an underground Power House with 4 units of 156 MW each. The power house will be constructed underground in Kiru village. The project will be a run-off-the river project.
